'Silent Valley' Overflow, 'Mourne' Mountains - Ireland

'Silent Valley' Reservoir sits in the 'Mountains of Mourne' County Down N Ireland. They call it 'silent' because after all the blasting when the dam was being built, no birds ever returned to the area - and so it was named the 'Silent Valley' ... and its true to this day - no birds can be heard singing or chirping anywhere in this part of the mountains.
